Anaih Marcias
A prison of Bones.
A sarchophogus – Mors obire. Mors vincere.
A Rat in a labyrinth.
I dipped feathers in wax,
glued them to my skin,
let the shafts burn into muscle,
sewed the wounds closed with golden string.
The three Sisters
have whispered,
What mortal dares to steal from the hands of Fate?
Who tricked Death?
Threw off their chains,
and swam against Styx’s waves?
I am a Firebird.
Rebirth!
A Cloak of orange and red.
I leaped from my Tower
laughing all the way,
let my new wings carry me.
Do not confine me!
Power flows through my veins.
